Just had a lovely afternoon out at a nice garden centre 20 miles drive and bought black with grey specs new containers . Chose a tray of burgundy dwarf chrysanthmums and yellow surphinas may put trailing lobelia well. The problem I am having is trying to get off the price label with the heat in the shop they really are glued on I tryed to soak in water and then rub with a cloth a very slow process wish I could think of something easier. Apart from that looking forward to planting up all my new containers. Next year will be better orgainised and grow on my seeds early starts to get expensive buying ready made plants so enjoyed it was a real treat . I so enjoy shopping in garden centres and you always see that something that would be nice in the garden . But did leave until another trip sometime. If anyone can give me a tip to get off the price labels quickly would be so pleased.

Yes shopping for plants can really make you feel good. Rub some alcohol on the label and it will come right off.

This reminds me of a very irritating experience. That's a time I found a beautiful transparent plastic jar/pot that can perfectly use as a mini greenhouse for my Pinguicula. At home I'd problem to get rid off the price label due to the hard glue. After trying all the method I knew it looked like this.
Then I'd to buy a new one. Now I just let it be. It looks 'better'. Has anybody any solution?

Kathleen, vinegar works, too, if you soak it in it.
That's a hard one. Looks like you need a solvent, maybe a quick swab with some paint remover? I'd use that as a last resort, though, since it might damage the plastic.

We have products here like GooBeGone but I would try some of these other solutions first.

Cooking oil like corn oil or olive oil will remove it and not damage container. Rub it on, let it penetrate for a few minutes, rub it off.

Goof Off works pretty well. I think it is similar to Goo Be Gone.
