Michael you need therapy!!! Could you possibly get one more container in there? You really should do this for a living. I don't think I have ever seen such healthy lush growth, not even at Chelsea Flower Show. (The most prestigious show in the UK.) Fantastic!

Thank you very much Growit for the compliment. I strive every year to come up a entryway area that welcomes and is inviting. ..Mike

Studdlygoof, sweet potatoe vine "Blackie". There are some new color variations. So you may have seen it labeled in your area as "ace of spades",which could pretty much be the same plant ! I use these alot ,their great plants, produce real quick growth when you need to fill space real good. ...Mike

Awesome. I work at a local greenhouse on the weekends as a "stress reliever" from the full time job and saw it for the first time this weekend while watering. I was going to grab a few but we still have the projected chance of some early spring frost so i held off. It looks great in your container. Might have to throw in some Purple Lobelia I started this winter in with it. That bright purple sucks your eye right into that foliage of the Sweet Potato Vine. Do you mix your own soil's Mike for your containers; if so what receipe do you use?

No I use good old Miracle-Gro potting mix.I've also used Pro-mix, both are great products but always seem to go back to M/G. Has always produced great results for me. i'm sure if you prefer too mix your own you can get plenty of info in the forums to help you out. If you buy a bagged product buy the best you can afford. remember the old addage,"you get what you pay for". I made that mistake once and wont do it again.

Yeah I go the mix my own route...(1 part compost + 1 part peat + 1 part sand + 2 parts soil) just interested to see what you were using because your pots look very full
