Today I discovered two adults on my tiger lily. Of course I squashed them, but two adults probably means offspring.

I've never seen these beetles before although I heard last year they were in Mass.

Do any GB's battle these with any success? I've added several new lilies to my garden this year and would hate to lose them.

Did you happen to take a photo (maybe not the favorite of subjects). I found some red beetles on my lilies but since this is the first time that I've seen them I wanted to confirm if they're the same thing.

Neem works best to get rid of them, I have heard, however, I couldn't find the stuff anywhere up here in New Hampshire and I was indeserate need of something before my lillies were eaten before my eyes. The squash method works but it is gross and you need to get the orange eggs off the underside of the leaves, and the larve which are in piles of poop at the end of the eaten leaves, it gets real messy. I applied Seven one night, the next morning I still had the red beetles, so I applied again the next night and they were gone. I do a maintenence spray once a week or so.
