I'm hoping not but it appears there is something wrong with my angel trumpet leaves. I noticed the new or inner leaves on the plant change in shape and curling under. Also the curling leaves are hard. What is going on with this plant? Take a look
The plant is potted.

Hi Dori, I just ran outside after I read your post with a soapy water mixture spray and misted real well. I have not seen any type of insect on this plant though. I will spray for a few weeks and see what happens. I just purchased more container brugs and it's sitting next to this plant. Guess I should spray them as well? Why did you get rid of your brugs may I ask? Thanks for the information! Stephanie

Stephanie I got rid of them becuz I live here in Michigan and it gets to be a pain dragging huge trees in and out and then the spider mites when i would bring them back in! I dont plant many things that I have to dig in the fall anymore-to much work! Id spray all of them if your going to bring them in-zone 9(envy) good luck with them, they are pretty!!

Hi Dori, I can understand that for sure! All of my plants will and do stay outside. I do have a shed to place some plants if weather is too cold, which it seldom is. Last winter we did not have even one freeze, thankfully. I have many more plants this year and keeping my fingers crossed. Most of my plants are potted, so I will mulch over time and possibly wrap with blankets if weather gets too cold. Thanks for your input! Stephanie

I've been misting my angel trumpet since Nov. 1. Today several "good" leaves fell off the plant. I'm a little concerned. We did have wind today but my brugs are usually strong enough to sustain the wind. Should I stop misting for now? Advice? P.S. I've yet to see any type of insect on the brug.

Stephanie if it is spider mite they are suffering from you should be able to see fine spider threads on the plant and to be absolutely sure take a moist tissue and wipe the underside of the leaves. If it is slightly reddish/brown then you have spider mite. They are too small to see with the naked eye. Hope that helps.

Moira, I don't see fine spider threads. I tried wiped underleaves, it is not yellow/brown. Dori, good idea. I'll PM Karma with pics. My situation seems to be getting worse.
