Hello, I am interested in purchasing a few orchids for my lanai. I have no experience with orchids though I am willing to do the research. Does anyone have any good suggestions of species type for a beginner? I live in south Florida. The average day temp is about 85 and the night falls to about 70, on average. I would be keeping them on my lanai which receives only about 3-4 hours of direct sunlight and I can position the plant to receive indirect sunlight only. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Suggestions only, as I am not familiar with your warmer climate, but... Phalaenopsis. Cattlya and blc all types of hybrids, with the possible exception of slc as the s part is a cooler climate plant. Vanda There are also many species I could list, but the drool from my imaginings is making the keyboard slippery (lol) Tropical paphs, the list goes on, but I shall perhaps get you to narrow down your wish list? have a look on the net, or here for pics. and then list your personal likes, then we can help with selection?
