I received notice, yesterday, from PayPal that the money I send to GardenBuddies exactly a month earlier was being returned to my account. The reason: "info(at)gardenbuddies.com is not registered with PayPal or has not completed registration procedures." Not exactly those words, I translated it from German. I used the button to send the money. Has anyone else had this problem? I've paypalled to GardenBuddies several times before and it always worked. So I am confused.

I did not have any problems, at least that I know about. So many times paypal e-mails, like e-bay, seem to be scams trying to get your info. I usually pay no attention to them. I did get a 'thank you' e-mail from gb, so hopefully they really got it.

If they're asking for info it most likely is. If you received a thank you from GB everything should be fine and you could delete or report that 'notice.'

It's genuine, not a scam. And no, I didn't receive an acknowledgement from GBs. I hope EJ has an explanation.

OK, I'll try again. But I used the button last time, so the formatting would have been automatic. Is the account in fact registered as info at etc.? Can you (or Anne) please confirm that no money was received from me on or about 22nd March.

Mara..when you make a paypal.. doesn't your Visa or Amex statement reflect it? That's the way I know..

Mara! Strange. Half my message disappeared. Must have done something stupid. You can log in directly to your PayPal-account, www.paypal.com. Write in the E-mail address you have used for your PayPal-account and your PayPal password and then pay. I paid directly this way. (During one period I received some strange mails not from PayPal but in their name.) Later then you can log in and check your account: Search under history. I just found my GB-donation from February 2008 etc.etc.

Monique, it was charged to my account. The money is being returned (at least they are honest at PayPal ) Maybe I'll try Ingmarie's method this time.

Ej and Ann - I only got round to trying the PayPal thing again today. According to my PayPal account, it was transferred immediately. Please let me know if it worked this time.

Ej forwards the PayPal data to me, Mara, so you'll have to wait for him to deal with this. I hope it's OK this time. You didn't receive an error message, so that's a good sign. The earlier problem was probably a glitch in the data PayPal received. A stray electron.
