I am from the United States. I looked at areas to post before registering and a prompt indicated unless I was registered I would not be able to view all areas of the site. I registered and am now here however I can't not locate the area of the site for native plants anywhere. Would someone please share with me where that is?

Thank you.

Hi and welcome to GardenBuddies. This being an international gardening forum, the question is: native to where? All plants are native to some place.
Which doesn't really answer your question ;-)
I think you'll just have to find the section closest to your theme: perennials maybe. Shrubs?

I evidently assumed wrongfully that there was an area specifically designated for native flora.

It would appear such an area doesn't exist. Native plants can be perennials or annuals, deciduous trees or conifers, grasses or sedges, and the list goes on. Depends on the individual gardener and where they are located as you already mentioned. For me, I garden in the US so the plants I would be interested in adding to my landscape would be North American natives however any forum specifically for natives would have been fine. I think everyone probably looks at the location of the original poster when replying and it's an added bonus when there are members from all over the globe.
