here's a thought, just ignore the yellow words instead of making an already busy man do more work.
Thanx!
(I can't believe I just took up for EJ)

I'm sorry to see the idea that we ignore a tool put there to assist us because it suggests we encourage sloppiness in the written word. Certainly many people have been contributing to this thread in order to improve a tool they find useful. Possibly a better tool could be found. If it is too much trouble for EJ, then the solution is to remove the tool altogether.

I was thinking the same thing. What's the point of a spell-checker if you ignore the words it flags? If this one can be perfected, or at least improved, why not try? But if we have to guess whether the words it marks are misspellings or just beyond its limited vocabulary, then it really might be just as well to scrap it.
Personally, I don't care one way or the other, because I do ignore the yellow words.

I am a very poor speller...and do find a spell checker useful.

I'm a pretty fair speller, but a terrible typist. I appreciate the flagged words, even though about 1/3 of them need no attention.

ladies, I would agree fully if we were paying for this service, and EJ was "on the clock" while correcting the many words. But he isn't,-as I recall from earlier post-he works 12 hour days then comes home to GardenBuddies.
Just my opinion girls.
Oh and to elaborate, I didn't mean to ignore misspelled words, I meant ignore a yellow box over a word that you know to be spelled correctly.

I keep an Oxford Dictionary next to me at the computer. I don't need to reference it very often ^_^

I agree with Valia about the typos. This is a handy tool.
If EJ wants out, that is a separate and understandable issue.
I do not know how to search for a superior tool or I would.

Is John_ny a "lady" or a "girl"?

Really this isn't much trouble. If you look back the last time I updated the dictionary was in march. There hasn't been much posted since. Another alternative (I use both) is to download this :

http://www.iespell.com/download.php

I find this tool very handy because it will also spell check the title box.

That's what this thread is for to create a dictionary tailored to the usage of Gardenbuddies.
