So what do we think? It's always sad to see them go.. They all seem like such very very nice young people. And talented too. I think David C..is the most original however.

I was very sad to see Sayesha go. She seemed not surprised. Conditioned by comments from Paula the previous night or pre warned so that there were no water works? She will do well however. Some one will grab her up for something.

If interested....... Today our local newspaper, the Kansas City Star, had this front page story on David Cook. http://www.kansascity.com/105/story/620677.html Monday, they had two feature stories on the front of the FYI section. http://www.kansascity.com/238/story/616268.html http://www.kansascity.com/238/story/616272.html I'm assuming the other contestants' hometown newspapers are carrying similar stories. You will be happy 2nite:) I like them both.. very much..I don't like the way the judges sway the audience. Clearly the audience is sold on Sweet david A.. The judges only reinforced that. I REALLY like David C too. I would not have voiced an opinion..and waited...

I agree M. At this point that was not at all fair. I still route for DC.

Both Davids are so talented each in their own way. I think it might be a hard choice tonight. I was an avid watch of Dancing with the Stars. I was pulling for the under dog, Jason.

just watched idol, to me its david a all the way.. i am not a rock fan, prefer to hear pure voices and david a is pure... and humble, and i adore him... what amazes me is that he can sing so well when he is obviously SO nervous. he will grow into his fame, but i find him so endearing... david cook is more a screecher to me, nothing i would ever buy and amc idol is about sales, well to simon at least! i did think david c sang roberta flacks song extremely well, but thats not his genre, he wants to be a rocker boy... monique you talked about judges swaying, simon was on ellen yesterday saying he thought cook would win. he said he liked them older, bartenders etc., that it would really have their life change. he said david a would struggle, how may interviews could he say golly and gee... so either he was blown away for real last night by a, or its reverse physch for c... i think these 2 are hard to compare side by side, its apples and orgs to me, its how many want to hear ballads or how many want rock, pure demographics. attn itune users they said today is the last day to download amc idol songs, get shopping!

Hope the show ends soon. Boston Legal is on, lol. I got the feeling from last night’s show that DC was trying not to win. He’s gotten the exposure he needs for a successful career that isn’t dictated by an AI contract. DA’s performances are all the same. Hard to differentiate one from the other. Sorry, but to me he’s just boring. Nice voice, but there’s nothing more.

Yippee! I liked the results. The entertainment presence of the winner was evident in the guitar hero commercials. I agree about the boy band and thought the backup singers to Gladys Knight were hysterical.

I agree that comparing the two David's is like comparing apples and oranges. Frankly, I liked them both, and to be honest, at this stage of the game, they are both winners--and they handled it that way. Very refreshing... I enjoy all sorts of music, though probably I would buy more David A. His is a very pure, versatile, and flexible voice. After last night's performance, I was betting he would win. Guess I was wrong... Simon was right when he said they were both nice people. And he also reflected my feelings when he said he didn't care which of them won. Frankly, I wish AI drew the sorts of talent that Britain's Got Talent is pulling in. Some of the folks in that competition are utterly amazing.

I just opened an email from a friend this morning, that said "our man Cook won, it made my week". Yes, we were rooting for Cook and are pleased with the outcome. I did find David A very endearing. It will be interesting to follow his career.

I am pleased. There is surely a market for DA but as an Idol, no. Not in his current presentation. He has a marvelous voice but I agree with Cindy, it all sounds the same.

I'm happy. David C has so much talent. He is also genuine. That is refreshing. Both the Davids were so genuine. I feel for David C. Many of his performances were dedicated to his brother, Adam, who is dying from a brain tumor. And his little brother was there in the audience the last few shows. He is genuinely humble and proud at the same time.

I am so happy for him. I do feel he was the most 'original' of the two. I love David A's voice and think he will have a wonderful career too. I loved the duet they sang together! I thought it was a fun and entertaining show for the most part with a few weird bits. I DVR'ed it and just barely got the final result before the recording ended.
