Hi I am new here. I met Kathleen on another board and she has told me many nice things about this board.

I have been reading some of the threads and looking at the pictures here today and I must say, everyone seems so nice.

I am a dish-aholic, a fabric-aholic, as well as a choco-holic. I live in Northern California and have two grown daughters and five fabulous grandchildren.

I am looking forward to reading more of the threads and getting to know everyone.

hi cc, such a cute name you picked! welcome, i am so happy kathleen invited you! all you had to say is dish and chocoholic and we could be best friends! and you live in ca, i am in vacaville, how about you? we are a fun bunch that suffer from dishease... kathleen, our patron queen of bargains, is our shopping ring leader who keeps us in stitches with her wit.
i hope kathleen gave you the tour, we have a shopping thread where we all post our daily, and i do mean daily, finds and then we have the whats for dinner thread, wfd, where we chat about the food going on our latest shopping items! we start new threads every 100 posts and LOVE pics here. please join in start gabbing, great to have another gal with shopping issues!

Hey, Catie, glad you found us! Please join in..as Jain said, we have a few threads going. WFD..what you cooked, or ordered in, right Carol? Dish of the day, some special plate, cup etc you have that you like, and the dish talk threads, for airing our addictions.
Jain taught me how to post pics, and I will be happy to do the same for you! Jain is happy to have another from the Land of Fruit and Nuts join us...she has the fruit, and she will crack you up too!

Oh I THINK I have found my place in the world...and it is right here! I remember the first time I saw Kathleen on the other board...she used the name "Dishnut". When I first saw that name I thought, WOW, I could have used that name!!! It describes me to a tee!!!

I live up in Hidden Valley Lake. It is just above Middletown, which is pretty much in the middle of no where. There is zero shopping here, zero anything here. BTW, my name is Cathy.

I am sure I will be asking loads of questions as I figure things out, but so far I just LOVE the place...

You will definitely love it here. Even when you can't make it to the store to buy more dishes our dishbuddies here will give you a little fix to tide you over. Looking forward to seeing your dishes (filled with food and otherwise!).

BTW, I have been a fabricaholic in the past and I don't even really sew (although I have a machine)! My grandmother and mother used to sew for me and I would stock up on fabric. I let go of much of it when I moved out west, but I still have a box..... What do you do with yours? Quilting maybe?

Suzy I like to make things for the table, table runners, place mats and if I ever get the nerve to try out my new serger, napkins! I also will do window treatments, duvet covers, pillows, etc. I gave up sewing clothes when my girls turned ten.

Susan I will dig out my poppy plates later today and take a pic, provided I can figure out HOW to post them....LOL

OH I AM VERY excited to be here...thank you for the warm greetings.

Love to see your handiwork, I can't sew, I sewed an apron to my shirt in Home Ec when I was in jr high. I wasn't paying attention at the sewing machine, LOL!

Hi Cathy, welcome to our little forum in Gardenbuddies. I'm fairly new to the forum but lurked for a long time before I just had to comment on a search for some dishes.

I don't cook on a regular basis like Kathleen and Marigene and others, but I do eat on a regular basis.
