Joe has been surprising me with these wine bottles for quite some time, in fact, he is very sneaky about it. He collects receipts, business cards, brochures, maps, etc. from places we have been. I don't know where he stashes this stuff, but eventually a memory bottle is born.

Here's the one he just left for me before he headed on a trip.

It's just something fun that he started, that I really enjoy. At least when my memory fades, I'll have my bottles :-)

how freaking cute is this! he sure as heck is not an engineer, they just don't have brains wired like this! that is sooooooooooooooo sweet! i mean i am shaking my head like the victrola dog... plus we never go out to have memories either. i bet you raised some incredible boys, they will make super duper husbands! thanks for sharing, so nice to see tangible love~

That is so cute!! Mike doesn't remember asking me to marry him, he keeps asking if her ever did!

They are fun, you could make a themed bottle too. Perhaps memoirs from a trip to Florida, Paris, etc.
