Great idea, Carol! It will be fun to see what everyone has. These are all I have - just a handfull compared to yours, Carol! I get most of my recipes on the net these days too as there are so many generous bloggers out there these days I like the fact they they've actually tried the recipe already. I do like to get cookbooks from our library system when I have a special event coming up. There are a few 'tried and trues' here though. My three favorite 'oldies' are Noteworthy, Stop and Smell the Rosemary and Creme de Colorado - all Junior League cookbooks. My cookbooks are stored on the bookshelf in my office/computer room:

I promise I will show you mine, let me straighten them a bit. I share of the same cookbooks with you and Susan. I love cookbooks, but there are so many recipes on the internet, that I don't buy many these days.

Here are some of mine. Here are the ones in my office.
Here are ones I keep on the shelf in the sun room. They keep the memory bottles company :-)
I store some cookbooks in our attic, and store just a couple of them in the kitchen. I also have 6 binders of recipes that I have printed.

Cracks me up, Debbie, the Fat Family Restaurants! I love the Dinosaur BBQ, my friend used to bring back gallons of the sauce when she visited her sister.
I know, I know! Talk to Larry, he'll agree :)
I do, too! I love the blogs, especially for the pictures but I still love just sitting on the couch and skimming through a nice cookbook! I just got that Mario Grills, I put post-its by so many of the recipes!

I do, both the Perfect Recipe for Losing Weight and the Perfect recipe for Having People Over. I haven't finished reading the weight one, but she makes a lot of good points. I love Mark Bittman TV shows, I like his books, but I prefer cookbooks with pictures! Thanks for the show and tell :) I love seeing all the different books we all have! Some the same, but many different ones! I picked up Giada's new one at BJ's the other day!

Carol, bet you wished you hadn't asked about cookbooks! Here are more of the books I have.......there are a couple more small bookcases but most of them are the spiral ring from churches, schools, etc. plus a few scattered hither and yon.

I agree :) No, Marigene, I'm glad I asked, LOL! Wow, you have some collection! I think it's pretty cool how we all have some of the same ones, but then so many different ones! Is anyone tilting their heads to the right to read the titles, like in a bookstore? or am I the only dope?

If any of you have a copy of the Time Life Foods of the World Cookbooks: India, I am looking for the Biryani lamb - rice recipe. It is complicated, so perhaps a photo of the recipe or a scanned page? I would be forever grateful. Beth

I don't have any of that series, but I googled and the India book came up a number of times, especially on this blog. Maybe if no one here has that, you can contact the blogger? She does have a recipe but it's from another cookbook. http://onceuponafeast.blogspot.com/search?q=Lamb+Biryani+ or Amazon sellers have it used... spiral http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000U245EU/ref=dp_olp_2?ie=UTF8&qid= 1223691256&sr=8-13 hardcover http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000NQ0HTU/ref=dp_olp_2?ie=UTF8&qid= 1223691380&sr=8-22 Hope this helps!
