I got this beautiful clematis..."Stasik" from Dan over with Brushwood and just love the form and colour!!
This clematis was sold to me as Clematis "Jackmanii" which I know it isn't..the seller refused to replace it with what I had ordered and paid for..can yall ID it?..Its colour in the pic is true as in real life...
This clematis was sold to me as "Fireworks" but everyone says it isn't..can yall tell me what it is..Thanks...Jeanne

Hi Jeanne, the second one looks a lot like my Warszawska Nike' ('Warsaw Nike'). Here's a pic from last year.

Jeanne, is the mislabeled Jackmanii a viticella type? To me it looks like my Etoile Violette. By the way, should we be warned about the seller you bought it from? Doesn't sound like they were very helpful!

Jeanne, the first one looks a lot like 'Romantika' to me. And your other one is definitely not 'Fireworks' but can't help you with the ID. This is my 'Fireworks'.

There is not much difference in color with you but it can also be the place the plants grows or the time the flower is blooming. The tip of the tepals have that special point. The flowers is named after a special kind of english firework

It looks like 'Etoile Violette' in flowers as well as leaves, as this is commonly sold as "Jackmani" in North America, I'm pretty sure thats is what it is. On the "Fireworks" tell me how old it is and how long on its place, got any pics from previous seasons ??

When I first saw the picture of your "not Fireworks", I thought Kathleen Dunford. The first one I had died, and picture is on another computer. Got another last year, but she didn't bloom. I remember you saying that ones that are double for Northerners are more likely to be single for you. Found a picture on the web of her. http://www.plantshop.be/fpgrootbloemigekl/clefotopaginakathleendunford.html Mine is showing leaf buds now (as are many other of my pets) so may have a picture this year.
