I just picked up a new clematis and I can't decide where to put it. What is the growth habit of multi-blue like? Good for trellises, arbors, an obelisk? I've been clematis happy the last few years, and I'm running out of room and ideas.

So excited there's a forum full of clematis lovers here... looking forward to getting to know you, and seeing your beautiful blooms.

Thanks!
Jamie

I believe it would be better on a trellis or an arbour as it is a vigorous grower and a prolific bloomer for me. Mine is planted on a chan link fence which is 5 feet - it could easily use another 5 feet to grow - mine tumbles over. It was a better performer here before the tree planted near it overtook a lot of the sun. It is a lovely one though.

Thanks... I'll find it a spot with some height, rather than an obelisk. And I'll keep out of the any part-shade locations as well. I'll have to be pretty creative, I am truly out of the room. LOL.
