Do you let them trail on the ground, or train them through some support or host plant? Pics would be nice.

I like to use a combination of supports and surrounding host plants to cover the bare legs at the bottom. Don't know if you can spot the support in this photo of Arabella, but it is a ring of metal (rusty to give it that aged look) on a slender metal spike that can be adjusted to height as the plant grows.
