Recently I have been addicted to crimson, vine reds... Clematis 'Hoshi no Flamenco' (Flamenco of the Stars).
About three years old plant. Not prolific bloomer for me yet but stunning nevertheless.
When the wind blows very attractive rear view comes to notice...

Thank you, Mal, for sharing this one. I sent you a private message (if you found it) asking about this one because I have it too, although not mature as yours. It is really lovely and I'm so looking forward to blooms like yours.

It is gorgeous! Have you sent the pictures to CotW yet? They have none and I'm sure they'll want them all (including the "rear view").

I have been collecting crimson/wine for last three seasons (including roses!). First it was purple and white and suddenly I decided that the garden needed cheering up. ;) I think I already have all so called "texensis" hybrids. They are all doing very well in my climate. Seems like perfect Clematis "group" for hot and humid climates. I promised myself not to add any more Group 2 (wilting is too heartbreaking) but I could not pass on 'Hoshi no Flamenco'. So far so good (second season). I even do not know if I would like more flowers on it. Just a few seems right and perfect. :) Tanya, thank you for the letter. I hope yours will give you some gorgeous blooms this year as well. I know Penny also has it. It would be nice to compare our experiences. Thanks for the comments ladies!

Hi Malgorzata, that is one beautiful flower! I noticed it on Roger's birthday thread and almost said something then. Don't know if it is available here but I hope so. The color is stunning. If it does well in your climate, that is a very good sign. Thanks for showing.

Me too, very nice to see yours and of course lovely photos. Mine has very tiny buds so hopefully I'll get to see it bloom this year.

Thank you all for nice comments. I feel like proud mama now! ;) Richard posted on CotW the first photo from the series. :) Have you noticed the way the petals overlap on this one? I think that makes it more charming but the color itself is beautiful. Wonder how the second flush will look this year and if I have one. Ladies, please share the pictures of your blooms when the time comes! Thanks again!

What a beauty, Malgorzata! I seem to favor the blues and purples but the reds do get my attention!
