I couldn't wait any longer for her to open. Isn't she gorgeous!! I received her last August from a friend who added some of her seedlings to a box of clematis she had picked up for me and babysat through the hot weather. Am totally thrilled Alison.
The plant has been indoors over winter and sat in front of a sunny window, not under lights.

Lovely, Helen....I've got some lusty seedlings of this coming along from Alison as well...look even more forward to them now. Let's hope the "odorata" gene gets passed along. Can you tell if it has any scent at this point?

Jane, I think I have the perfect place for it. Kristl, there is definitely an odour to it, but am not sure I would call it an attractive odour. Am wondering if it needs to be in the sun to make it smell right. One thing does confuse me though, I was under the impression that Atragenes bloom on old wood. This is blooming on new growth, there was no old wood. Is this common?

Oh how cool Helen. Isn't it satisfying to see flowers from your own baby grown plant.

Joan, I can't even describe how thrilled I am, but she refuses to open fully so far, which might be a good thing if it means the flower lasts longer.
