Very nice white, Susan. How large does this one get for you? I'm looking for another alpina type to run along a fence. Already I have three others and a montana but am waiting this year to see how much space the montana will take up. I find that some of the atragenes grow much larger than others.

Firstly,I wish to thank everyone for their response to my first postings. Jane, I cannot help you with your query about the ultimate size of White Wings. I, like you am pushed for space for planting anything else in my garden.
I actually do not have White Wings but took the photo at a garden centre in Cornwall when I was purchasing other clematis a week or two ago.
