Mike, It does indeed look like white jellyfish. Never thought of that 'til you mentioned it. You have made me chuckle with that.

Very nice white, Susan. How large does this one get for you? I'm looking for another alpina type to run along a fence. Already I have three others and a montana but am waiting this year to see how much space the montana will take up. I find that some of the atragenes grow much larger than others.

Firstly,I wish to thank everyone for their response to my first postings. Jane, I cannot help you with your query about the ultimate size of White Wings. I, like you am pushed for space for planting anything else in my garden. I actually do not have White Wings but took the photo at a garden centre in Cornwall when I was purchasing other clematis a week or two ago.
