Clematis texensis seedling E bloomed first. This seedling from the seed of natural crossing of C.texsensis Red or Pink. The seeds is obtained from my flower friend in the autumn of 2006. Seed germination: January,2007. Flower diameter:about 20mm(length) x about 13mm(width). Color of surface of sepal:very light pink. Tip and inside of sepal:fem green. It has light scent.

Hi Roelie. Thank you for posting. Color of Stamens and anther is yellow. It was changeable to a size and color as follow though the flower is still bell type. Flower size:about 23mm(length) x about 17mm(width). Color of the inside of the sepal:changed to yellow.

It has been the second days since this seedling begins to have bloomed. Sepal is almost near white though a light fem green has been slightly left in the tip of it,and a light pink has been slightly left on the surface of it . This is one of my lovely flower.

Another seedling stock of mather stock same origin bloomed first today. The size of flower about 20mm(length) x about 10mm(width). It has light scent. This flower is very lovely flower that the stripes in the line of light purple red color enters the surface of sepal near the white ground. Seed germination:January 2007.

Another seedling stock(C.texensis seedling B)from same batch of seeds bloomed first today. The color of sepal is deep pink(outside and inside). Flower size:about 24mm(length) x about 11mm(width) It has scent.This is very lovely flower.

Another seedling stock(C.texensis seedling A)from same batch of seeds bloomed yesterday. Flower size:about 22mm(length) x about 8mm(width). It has fragrance and is pretty flower too. Two seedling stocks of three stocks of remainder might possibly bloom by autumn in this year. I wish to introduce these seedling stocks again when blooming. Thank you.

A couple of those look like c. carrizoensis rather tham texensis, but I would imagine that that is just coincidence (the famous 'white texensis' from the North Eastern corner of Texas in the carrizo sands area, recently described and recognized as a species in its own right).
