Hello,
Can anyone tell me how hardy this clematis is?
Also I would like to know what soil to grow armandii in? I live far out in the Atlantic - i.e the faroe islands - and have sucessfully overwintered cartmanii joe for some years now.

I have had paniculata outside for 2 years. Lowest temp. was -7 degrees Celsius but no flowers.

I would imagine that with armandii soil type is going to be less of a factor than wind damage, as the leaves seem to dessicate very easily in windy spots.
