To my surprise I found today the first flower in the seedling I got from Brian:
It's a small flower, only 3 1/2 cm. I will try to make more pictures tomorrow (if possible without rain)There are some more buds to come... Gerda

Well done Gerda, am thinking yours looks pretty similar to one of Clayton's in colour. I have a couple of buds on my second plant at the moment but it will probably be a few weeks before I get to see one open.

Good to see. I like the color. Obviously another year of growth will tell a better tale. Do you have other plants left as well?

That's what I thought and why I was so surprised... Very small buds, the day before it looked like a blue coloured flower and the next day I found this! Gerda

I got three seedlings from Brian (no names, Roelie) - I called them Brian 1, 2 and 3 - this is the number one (Best one also?) nr. 2 has no buds but is growing very fast, like nr. 1 - nr 3 is no more - which I pity - this kind of surprise (you don't know what comes out of it) I find very stimulating! Maybe I will try to sow clematis-seed in the near future, thanks to Brian's kindness! Gerda
