Author Message   Mike_in_chicago  Supporting Member My Garden Posted on Monday, August 18, 2008 - 03:08 pm EST :    I'm guessing this crossed with its neighbor Etoile Violette. The coloring is exactly the pink of Odoriba, by the way, even though the camera didn't capture it correctly. The flower is small, a first bloom of about 2.5 - 3 cm. It looks like a number of viticella hybrids out there already, doesn't it? Foliage: Plant is about 1 m high in its first full year, so I'll let it go another year just to see what happens. They seem to germinate much more quickly and easily than its parent species (hybrid vigor?) and I grow many different clematis in its vicinity with which it might cross.
