I was wondering if anyone can tell me more about bulbs? I love all flowers and just recently found a bunch of old packages of flowering bulbs purchased one to two years ago. They have been stored outside in a tightly covered dark storage bin. Does anyone know if they will be any good? I live in an apartment building so I do not want to spend any money landscaping around the bldg. I also do not have any time to waste putting in the ground if they have no chance of growing. Any suggestions or direction would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

I would say there is only one way to find out and that is to plant them! As long as they don't look too dried out they might have a chance. One thing is for sure they will never come to anything in the packet. Just put them in the ground outside - a few inches deep, water and wait. You've nothing to lose!

You could try planting them in pots. If they feel very dry, you could soak some of them in water for a few hours before planting. I've planted bulbs older than that before with pretty fair success.

That's what I would do also. After all, nothing ventured nothing gained, as they say. It could be a learning experience. If you do, by all means let us know what happens. Mother Nature is always full of surprises.
