I bought this lovely little narcissus at an AGS show yesterday.

I know nothing about it except that is isn't a dwarf variety ( though it looks it to me)....can anyone give me any more information please?

New one to me but very lovely. Large flowers for such short stems. The way the petals recurve would suggest it has n triandus blood in it somewhere.

It's gorgeous. Apparantly the parents are bulbocodium var citrinus x 'Snowflake'

Thanks for that Ann.....that's interesting...it doesn't look much like a bulbocodium does it? It probably has more of the 'snowflake' in it....whatever that is!

I do love it though.

The flower colour has faded with age, so it may be a brighter colour next year.

I find the species are appealing to me more and more. I would have bought it if I had seen it.

Very nice Dee. Will it be hardy for you in the garden or will it go into the glasshouse?

Amazing what you come home with on your garden outings...

Ann, at the Midland AGS show there was a gorgeous plant on show Narcissus Solveig's Song
I've put a photo in the Alpine forum (Midland AGS Show). My photo does not do it justice...it was the most gorgeous colour...gorgeous flower shape ..not a bulbocodium, but I'm sure you'll like it.

Yes Terry, more plants...this show wasn't in gardens, it was in a school, but there was a sales area.....and you know I can't resist!

Gorgeous plants on your other post. These shows are wonderful. I saw a narcissus called Betty Mae at the recent Northumberland show and I've never seen anything like it. Will try and hunt out a photo.
