The first flower in bloom - and the first year to have her. She is absolutely wonderful, I think. Huge flowers.

What a wonderful photo Marlene. I was looking at this at the nursery last weekend - I think I'll be buying one very soon!

Thank you, Sue. Yes, I would really recommend her as she is supposed to flower until the first frost. 'Jolly Bee' is similar but only a bit taller (50 cm - and 'Rozanne is 40 cm).

Marlene height is not really something that can distinguish these 2 geraniums as they grow according to the conditions. I know other experienced geranium growers who have grown rozanne and jollybee side by side and can see no difference. There is some controversey over plant breeders rights as Blooms the sellers of rozanne say jollybee is the same as theirs. As far as I know the dispute continues. I have grown this one for about 5 years now and have always been very impressed with both its flowers and its flowering length.

I have both Rozanne and Jolly Bee and I don't think I can tell any difference either. I'm guessing you're correct Annette, that they are actually the same plant. During the very hot days of summer, the white eye becomes less distinguishable and the flowers become more violet than blue - even though mine gets no afternoon sun.

Hello, here is a picture of both: On the left 'Jolly Bee' and on the right 'Rozanne'. A friend of me took it. VLG; Katrin http://www.photoprintonline.com/bilder_2v/2003/9/4/687001342.jpg

I will keep an eye on these two this summer. As mentioned, it is my first season having these two beauties but according to other Geranium friends in Denmark, there should be a difference in height though. But I'll know in the autumn .

Wonderful photos! Your 'Rozanne' seems more purple than mine (but maybe you have warm weather???? which we definitely have not )

Rozanne is a wonderful geranium and for me blooms a good 6 to 7 months a year. It grows in partial shade and will grow up the fence a few feet without a problem. I pair mine with roses. I hope it does well for you in Denmark. What part do you live in? I was there a few years ago and loved the countryside. Carol

I have both now. They are hard to tell the difference that I'm having a hard time to where to place Jolly Bee. Rozanne is already planted from last year and is doing super!

Today I have Rozanne paired with pink and white Malva moschata. At other times during the season I have it paired with all kinds of white geraniums (e.g. cantabrigiense 'Biokovo', clarkei 'Kashmir White', maculatum 'Album', etc). Shame they don't bloom as long as Rozanne.

My first season with Rozanne and so I'll be anxious to see if she survives our frigid winter and if she blooms without flopping (like Johnsons Blue).
