I bought this Geranium few years ago, when I was a newbie in gardening. Now I'm still, but I would like to know what Geranium it is. Thanks in advance. Flower

Thanks Annette and Hans. I posted a photo of the whole plant. I hope it provides clearer view. The geranium starts flowering now.

I'd definitely vote for G pratense album: the leaf and habit look very close to it, anyway! http://www.aphotoflora.com/Geranium%20pratense-leaves-26-08-04.jpg On the contrary, sylvaticum don't have this deeply cut foliage. Here is G. sylvaticum 'Meran', for instance:

No it isnt pratense, habit and leaf is wrong and it doesnt flower this early and not sylvaticum either. Where did u get it? was it b ought as a plant or grown from seed? Reminds me quite a bit of Geranium Maculatum.

Thanks everybody. I bought it in supermarket. Two small bare root cuttings that packed in a small plastic case for only 1€. It's Geranium maculatum 'Album'. Another hybrid Geranium maculatum 'Espresso' is beautiful. http://www.abnativeplants.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=plants.plantDetail&plant _id=75

Very pretty little flower Mara, how big are the flowers? I have a geranium with dark leaves like that but it was wrongly named so I am not sure what it is, but think the flowers are a different shape to yours.

The leaves are fairly big, so the flowers are small in comparison. I'd say they are about the size of sanguineum flowers, maybe a bit smaller.
