I spotted this and had to rescue it(thats my way of justifying buying yet another plant!) I love the fancy leaves but the flowers have cut edges too, when they open( a lot got damaged on the way home, petals everywhere!) Anyone have any more info on the name?
I want more pelargoniuns!

I like the colour of the flowers, too. They seem to have a hint of caramel brown.

This is my second attempt. My first one died in last winter, when I tried to over winter it indoor.

Why do so many have trouble overwintering pelargoniums? I just keep mine on the windowsill and water a bit less than normal(which isnt a lot anyway) and they just keep going!

I over wintered all my normal zonal pelargonium in cellar, dark and below 10C. I watered them once a month and they survived for years. Last year I bought 8 fancy leaves pelargoniums from Internet and over wintered them in sleeping room, not so bright, about 15C and I watered them twice a month. Unfortunately all died off. This year I’ll over winter them in living room, bright and 20C. The problem is I don’t have windowsill and unheated room (except sleeping room, but I tried it last year). Or perhaps they should go into cellar too?

I dont see why anyone should need to overwinter them if theyre growing indoors! They just grow all year round without any intervention.Strange!

I've tried overwintering geraniums on the window sill here and it doesn't work well at all, too low light, they get all spindly and pale. The Vancouver Centennial geranium was used in gardens all over Vancouver BC in their centennial year. Its leaves look like the Canadian maple leaf used on the flag. It's one of my favorites both for leaf and flowers. http://www.plantoftheweek.org/week411.shtml

That is really neat. I would love to visit Vancouver BC and Victoria.

The trick is to prune back hard as winter approaches and reduce water-just let it have a winter rest. It may look strange, like a potfull of stumps but they soon sprout again better than ever. If you want something to grow prune it!
