Lord Bute is a Regal Pelargonium. Incidentally who is/was Martha Washington ? Not sure how the geranium got the name though - maybe to make it appropriate as a Mother's Day gift? Maybe because it has a ring to it? I notice it has several common names. I see Lady Washington, Fancy, Hothouse, Show or Pansy geraniums all on the first page of a google search.
