In fact, I should write "G. soboliferum var. kiusianum"... I lost a first plant, last year, in spite of a regular automatic watering in the so-called "nursery". I decided to give it a second try, bought it a second time last april, and this time, installed the container right in the shallow stream that flows from the pond :
It looks fairly happy there, in half shade, even if it has taken some autumn colours, like many other plants in my garden, due to the cold and wet weather we had so far! But this can only be a transient situation... I wonder if I could install it directly IN the pond, with the water level at the same level as the soil in the container... What do you think? Could it be a good solution? Would it stand to have all its roots permanently below the water level, with just the crown emerging? Did any of you ever try it this way? Any advice welcome...
