Wow! No, I haven't seen this yet, or I would have it! This is from Native Sons? I've investigated a number of variegated clones, such as Emmer Green, or Burrow Silver, but there's been issues with a lack of vigor in them, and they seem to have faded from the scene. I definitely want to try this one. How did you snag it?

LOL, David! Remember, I'm a buyer for the nursery; I get to order lots of things. Mon-Wed mornings are spent looking at the availability lists and viewing samples in the back of the vendor's vans and trucks. This baby came from Monterey Bay. I ordered 5 of them in. Want me to hold one for you or you can ask a local nursery that buys from MB to order one for you? The picture shows the flower being a sort of whitish green. I can't wait to see it in bloom!

That's stunning! I'll be interested to see what the flowers are like as I don't think the usual chartreuse ones really go with white variegation.

I saw it last year I think when I was in California. I have to say that E. characias types are so common place in Northern California and England that I almost don't notice them anymore but that one certainly is pretty remarkable! I know my friend Lichen would love that. It reminds me of his variegated Echium fastuosum.
