This specie start in Spring with bloodred shoots. This specie is not very hardy therefore I store always a cutting in the greenhouse. This year we had -15 degrees Celsius but the plants are still alive.

I hope you have a photo to show us. I almost bought a book on Euphorbias today, but the photos were poor. This winter we have had temperatures at -23C at least, so I would certainly need a greenhouse! I notice also that the rabbits are so hungry that they have eaten my "donkey tail" spurge.

I've grown E. sikkimensis for several years now, and the coloring is beautiful. As most Himalayan euphorbias (like schillingii and the griffithii), it seems to like more moisture and less heat. It also has the distinct white "rib" like the other Himalayans. Here's a pic from June.

Hello! I just got my seeds from India and ordered this euphorbia, too. So, how have I to sow them? Just like the others? In peat, sand, perlite and so on?? Did you let them outside now? We are waiting for the next coldness.... :))
