I started a couple of forscithia bonsai recently and they are going quite well but i would like to know if they are as picky as whisteria is when it comes to blooming and the right temperatures?

Hi Aaron,

Forsythia is much easy to deal with as a bonsai than Wisteria .

When in flower I would keep it out of the pm full sun, then the blooms will last longer, and do any pruning after flowering.

I got a Forsythia bonsai and its not an ideal subject as the stems are hollow and dont take to bending so well, but it is possible.
They flower in spring,on old wood, so be careful with the pruning after summer
