I had one of these, they are nice plants but theyre quite tender and fussy. Dont ever let it dry out and keep well away from draughts.

Yes they are very attractive Sue, but as Treelover says 'quite tender and fussy'. The Japanese variety are much easier to keep see

Well, guess I had "beginner's luck" with this plant. Bought a few about 3 yrs ago and did not like the growth habit.......too awkward. Then decided to attempt a bonsai with one. It has been in this tuffa pot for 3yrs now, lives outdoors year round and returns with the lovely wee, white flowers every year. It does require a LOT of pruning to shape it. The trunk is now about 1/2" thick and resembles a tree. Somehow could not attach the pic to this message but it can be found by looking at the Buddy sized pictures. This is the first time I've attached a picture to a post.

Thank you Kath. My humble attempt at a bonsai is pleasing to me anyway. I know one is supposed to trim the roots, etc. but I've never done that. I just try to keep it shaped like a mini tree and I may eventually even hang a little tire swing on it, maybe add a little wagon. One could really get carried away with this........LOL.
