Hi,

I have two chinese elms. One of which has a babys tears plant which leads in to a small section of water.

I have noticed that i have to keep refilling the water section as if the babys tears plant is drinking it.

At the same time over the last month,my tree has sprouted 2-3cm in growth in many positions.

My other tree has not doe this.

Any ideas why.

Sam

Hi Sam,

It's probably the extra water that you are giving to keep the 'baby-tears' alive, but CAUTION, too much water usually results in 'root-rot' of your bonsai tree - Kath
