Hi Larry,

Castanospermum.

Can you share any light on this?

BTW - the beans at the base have dried recently. I don't know if significant or not.

Hi,
I ve got once bonsai from my friend, I might say that it was a package to plant bonsai: a box with few seeds in it, a little bit of ground and a pot. It was a great fun to plant it!
I don't know how does it grow right now cause I gave it to another friend:)

Hi, I am new here. I "accidentally" found this looking for something else. Nice to meet you all. I am also very new to bonsai. Questions, questions!! Anyway, I bought a ficus. I dont know why kind of ficus it is. I have used its picture here. Any suggestions on what to do with it?? Do I try to "style" it or leave it be?? I welcome your thoughts. A. Schwarz}

Hi Amanda,
Sounds like a cool gift you received. Ask your friend you gave it to how it's doing and let us know. A pic would be nice to see as well.

Hi Angela, Welcome to Gardenbuddies!
Really neat ficus bonsai. I would let it be, love the entertwining on it. Just pinch back a little on new growth. I water my bonsai once a week, but I think watering would depend on what kind of plant you have.

Others?

Thanks for the welcome, Pinkdamsel, and thanks for the advise. Sorry, I havent been back for a short while. Life is busy. What kind of bonsai do you have? I have to mist mine a couple of times a day because the leaves dry out. Needs humidity. Misting really helps. Nice to meet you!!
