What kind of magnolia is it? I had one that I accidentally whipper-snipped and killed...it was very heavily scented and had a looser petal than the water lily type. I have that type in the front. It wasn't doing well in one place so I dug it up and put in "temporarily" in another...well, it stayed there and flourished in a crowded place. Now I have a tree with a one foot trunk and twenty foot branches but it flowers beautifully and looks rather pretty where it is. One of those happy accidents that worked out.

"I had a blonde moment." And Hans provided us with a biondii moment. I'll admit I've never heard of this one. A quick Google search indicates it was discovered in 1977 and has nicely fragrant flowers. Do you concur, Hans?
