Hi, all -

Shooting around the yard today. New growth on the evergreens.

Mugho pine candles:

Blue spruce, um, cones?

Think the Mugho is bonsai-destined. The spruce is being surrounded by plantings this Spring. Progress pics to come.

Thanks for looking.

Yea they are young cones, they take 1-2 years to mature(older in some species)
Great shots!

Looks like you have a good eye for photography, and a nice camera, Scott. I enjoy pics like these.. it shows the simple beauty of nature. I can see a little gold rose in pic two. :) My mugho pine has been extremely slow growing (even though it's 15 yrs old) but I really like the form.

Thanks for the comments and information, everyone.

That mugho has an eviction notice pending - wife hates it, 'cause it grew so fast that it started taking over the rather small bed. Going to dig it and root prune it here this weekend, I'm hoping. ;^)
