Plant ForumOur tree of heaven finally gone Last night we had a storm and it up rooted It was rotten on the roots It was about 60 years old Those are hard to get rid of The seeds were staring to come on itIPlan on growing something nicer in it's place.It landed on my forsythia bush It all broken too I'm going to prune it back & hope for the best

I would have been tap dancing on the driveway! I have them all over the property. Actually they are everywhere up and down our highways.

I agree with Treelover, what a loss. The flowers and shrubs we can almost see instant gratification but trees are special. Lucky for you it fell away from your house/cars.

Most trees yes, but this has become a very invasive tree, destroying the habitation of other species as it shades them out and is so aggressive. The seeds land up everywhere-and pulling them leaves a very noxious scent.

}My poor forsthyia looked nice after being cut down so many times They tore a building down next to us and ruined it then Now I'm going to cut it right down to the top of the roots The hydro was out for 3 hours when that nuisance tree fell The seeds on the tree of heaven 99 percent of them produce We still have little ones around cut them down and still come back I got a new camera and had to figure out how to made the pictures smaller this my forsthyia Last year it started to grow nice after it was chopped the first time Idon't know about this time {111173716,Plant Forum}The main stocks are cracked in half maybe if I cut it right to the ground It might come back The hydro ws out for 4 hours as it hit the hydro wires.Plant Forum
