My local nursery has this grass in a hanging basket and I think it looks wonderful.

That looks like a good idea to try with some of the ribbon grass that is filling up the kiddie pool in the field where I planted a little piece a few years ago. I put some other ornamental grasses in there last year because I wasn't sure where I wanted them, but dug them out last week as the ribbon grass seems to have stronger roots and I didn't want the others smothered by it.
I like the green & white variegation, but not the takeover habit. Noticed one small clump (probably from seed) growing outside the pool when I mowed the weeds in the field I call "lawn" yesterday. Wonder what mowed ribbon grass would look like if it takes over the field someday.
