this year 13 flower spikes and is growing in front of my eyes. Previously I have only had a couple of flower spikes but it seems to have established well now.

Very cool! Is it a perennial for you?
I have 'angel hair' stipa and it is so soft. Everyone who passes it has to 'pet' it. It is a wonderful texture in a container near my walkway.

Carolyn, this is the third season for me so I guess it is perennial. It grows in a south facing position and is backed by the stone from my herb garden so it gets as much sun and heat that we can muster. I'm not sure it would survive in other parts of the garden though as it's hardiness is borderline in this area.
