I picked up a couple of these at an end-of-season sale - with labels missing. Any idea what I have - carex or rush perhaps?

It looks like Carex lurida, AKA Sallow Sedge. It's hardy to zone 3, likes medium wet to wet soil conditions, and full sun to part shade. It blooms May-September and will reach 1.5-3' in height and 1-2' in width.

I know little about these but that bottom pic reminds me of a Cyperus I once had!
