I have recently seen some hostas that are almost lime green (yellowish/green) in colour. Can anyone tell me the name of these beautiful hostas?

If you want some names of yellowish/green hosta's: Lakeside prissy miss, a small hosta, abt. 15 cm., Sweety, abt. 45 cm, Paradise Standart, a great one... If you can post a picture of the hosta you saw, it would be a lot easier to find the name! Gerda

Hi Beth & Perkie, I have a hosta that is varigated and has the lime green coloration too. I am not sure what the registered name of it is and I don't have the capability to post a photo of it yet. I have had it in the yard now for two years and it hasn't bloomed for me yet. It was started from a bulb---tuber or whatever it was and it took a long time for it to really take off and start growing. You can see that I know about as little to nothing as possible about starting plants; but I am learning. Beverly SW Missouri-USA

One I love is 'Dawns Early Light', comes up glowing yellow in the spring and turns to a bright chartruese in early summer.

There are many many lime green hosta...Guacamole for one, Parky's Birchwood Gold ( but that has been tainted with the frequent occurrence of HVX) Squash casserole is another....and the biggest, Sum and Substance. Check out the Hosta Library for some more lime green ones. Linda C
