Hi everyone, I dug out 2 of my Hostas to give to neighbors, but I don't think I got *all* of the roots out of the ground (I got most though). My question is.. what are the chances of it growing back from the roots? I'm hoping that they won't because I'm planning on planting other things there. Thanks!

It's possible, as they are tough plants, but you're probably referring to their smaller root pieces, not the main crown, and hostas will not grow back from those.

No, it's not possible without an eye attached. Only two ways to propogate, division and tissue culture. Seeds are not reliable and tissue culture is impossible in the garden. Rots that break off will simply rot away.
