This picture turned out darker than I expected. This is my Green Spice paired with a Japanese Painted Fern. It is the 2nd year for Green Spice and I am very pleased with it's size. mary

My Green Spice is loving all the rain we've been having this weekend after a nice sunny week. It's developing some flower stems too.

You can see quite a few varieties of foliage here: http://www.daytonnursery.com/Encyclopedia/Perennials/Heuchera.htm I have recently purchased 'obsidian'.

Mary , you just helped me with my dilemma of where to mix in my Japanese P. Fern and Greenspice Heuchera , as they are still languishing in their pots!! Having a small space, and wanting nearly every plant I see, creates a problem at times. siting the two together will make more substance in the place I am thinking. I have also a stunning no-tag Heuchera purchased from a farmer's little nursery . The flowers are so very bright , yet not exactly the same structure as the dayglow photo in here. ttfn !}
