Heuchera Caramel is my favourite at this moment the nice yellow/orange folliage looks great I like also the combination together with Heuchera Obsidian.This H. Caramel is introduced last year by Thierry Delabroye France.Plant Forum

Is this plant out now? I would love to own one! I'm planning a section of my garden to be colorful with no blooms. Wouldn't this be perfect!!

Ulrich Fischer was recently offering a Heuchera 'Camel' which looked suspiciously like your Caramel. I wonder if he got the names confused. I didn't buy one because I thought it looked so similar to my Crème brûlée (which has since died ).

Gardenfriend: In my experience 'Crême Brulé' needs almost full shade and very organic, woodsy soil to be happy. very micrantha-like in that respect. Some morning sun might do. The fall colours are grand in CB though. Reddish-pinks and bronze greens. The flowers are irrelevant.
What kind of conditions were you presenting to CB in your garden?
Luc is right. Caramel with its villosa blood is bound to be more sun hardy and possibly more winter hardy. But also don't forget that this cv will flower later than most of the americana and pubescens types.

Welcome Grahame! Good to have Heuchera specialists on board.
My Crème brûlée died in the summer, not long after I planted it out. It did get a fair amount of sun, so I will keep that in mind if I get another. But I think the cause of death may have been a beetle whose English name I don't know. I googled the Latin, it's Otiorhynchus sulcatus. They are a Heuchera problem here, they eat the roots, which is what happened to my plant. I've since put a different heuchera in the same spot (Cappuccino), and it is doing fine. So maybe Créme Brûlée is particularly susceptible to the beetle.

I've had Creme Brulee for a couple of years now, growing in dry (certainly not woodsy) soil in full sun,and it's doing superbly well.#

Amber Waves was a waste of time,space and money with me so it seems like maybe there could be some confusion over plants?

However Caramel is now on my want list.
