There's a mystery shrub growing outside my mother's window here in Pensacola, about eight feet high with nine-pointed leaves and green pods with four chambers inside. Not cannibis, but some funny palmate.

Anyone know what this is? Any help would be much appreciated!

Many thanks,
Lolly

Check out newer or taller leaves of Jatropha mutltifida. As the newer leaves change shape to appear like the leaf in your photo. The toothed edges disappear. Does it have seed pods? Flowers

Also check the leaves on Cleome.
