Saw this Purple Beauty at someone's home in the mountains.. But what is it?? The color is very close to the photo and looks gorgeous.. Has grayish greenish leaves.. Not a Carnation.. Bloom size would be abt 3-4 inches dia

That's easy: Lisianthus. I love them. Their cut flowers last for well over a week. They also come in pinks and white.

Well I've not seen one before. What part of the board do you put them in?

It's a lovely flower, Yasmeen. Is the Lisianthus a perennial? I'm looking for a nice one to plant among the pansies so that, when the pansies die back in mid-summer, whatever else I plant with them will be about ready to bloom.

Sadly Gloria we must treat them as annuals. And they grow so slowly from seed. Without a greenhouse that won't work.
