A mystery shrub

Author Message   Tamster02  My Weather My Garden Posted on Friday, June 27, 2008 - 05:11 pm EST :    This little shrub lives underneath my Rose of Sharon tree. It's about a foot tall and has tiny thorns that you can't see in the pics. It is deciduous. Anyone able to identify it? I googled berberis and found that it is Berberis thunbergii 'Aurea'. Looks like I should move it to a more sunny location. That's exactly what I needed to know. Thank you so much, Taramark.
