http://bp3.blogger.com/_9FRTuU7aicc/SGrkq0goauI/AAAAAAAAAM4/4Nmz0pJhQfs/s16 00-h/DSC00020.JPG This purple plant popped up in my garden this year. I have no idea what it is. I need to either toss it or transplant it as it's blocking my lilies. Can anyone help me?

Looks like a small Cotinus, purple smoke bush. Must be a seedling because it is quite late for it to emerge. It looks healthy though! This is mine back in early June. It is blooming now and much fuller.
