I visited the subtropical island of Jeju over the weekend as a participant in a sports tournament, but I took Monday to look around a bit and take some photos. These are from around the immediate area of the city of Seogwipo. The citrus is among the best you'll find in the world, incredibly consistent and sweet (Thankfully, they ship it an hour flight north to Seoul!). The island is volcanic, and Mt. Halla (not pictured) is sometimes covered in snow despite the otherwise mild climate. The flora is also interesting as it is a mix of tropical and temperate. A very beautiful paradise little known outside of Korea.
This waterfall goes directly into the sea, and you can see the confluence here. The white water is sea water, the clear water, fresh.

Fantastic pictures! It looks like heaven! And a gardener's dream to be able to accommodate such varied flora. Are the coconuts actually locally grown? That would be amazing! Wow to the waterfall. And puzzlement about the touch of Europe in the form of what appear to be scaled-down Dutch windmills. I didn't realise you were back in Seoul.

Mara, I assumed they were locally grown but am not certain. Coconut palms do grow there. It's just a little over $100 US round trip, so I really should go more often.
